TEACHING VACANCIES

TEACHER OF FOOD TECHNOLOGY

For September 2019, we are looking to appoint a Teacher of Food Technology to join our successful Design and Technology department.

We are proud to be a fully inclusive community school with a grammar stream and a nurture base; a large sixth form and strong relationships with our partner primary schools within the Southend East Community Academy Trust (SECAT).
The desired candidate will be supported by an outstanding and passionate team and will work alongside some excellent practitioners, who put children at the heart of everything they do. Knowledge of food preparation and food hygiene.

• have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of secondary teachers.
• have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.

Teacher of Film & Media Studies - TMS

Required September 2019 a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our successful Film & Media Department. 

Shoeburyness High School is an expanding and forward-looking school and our Film & Media Department has grown dramatically over the past few years, offering a variety of KS4 & 5 courses. As a school we are committed to promoting the creative subjects within our curriculum. The appointee would be expected to become fully involved with the extra-curricular events, and opportunities will exist to organise and develop some of these; to increase opportunities for our pupils.

Practical skills in media production would be preferable, but not essential.

Pre-application visits are strongly encouraged.

TEACHER OF MUSIC - TMS

Required September 2019 a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our successful Music Department. Practical skills in piano to a high standard would be would be preferable but is not essential.

Shoeburyness High School is an expanding and forward-looking school and Music remains a very popular subject with increasing numbers at both GCSE and Advanced Level; we are committed to promoting the creative subjects within our curriculum. The appointee would be expected to become fully involved with the extra-curricular events, and opportunities will exist to organise and develop some of these, particularly with regard to instrumental accompaniment and choral work.

NON TEACHING VACANCIES

SENIOR PASTORAL LEAD

Required 1st September 2019

LGPS Level 8 SCP28 £31,371 p.a. (pro rata)

37 hours per week – Term Time only 

We are looking for an outstanding, dynamic and charismatic Senior Pastoral Lead who will work with closely with the Assistant Head, pastoral, in providing the best possible care, support and challenge for our students. You will do this with our very experienced and knowledgeable team of six non-teaching year managers. You will have high expectations and high challenge as our children deserve the best.

In September 2019 Shoeburyness High School will have over 1800 on roll with over 300 in each year group. Shoeburyness High School is a fully inclusive comprehensive school that benefits from the commitment, passion and energy of its large staff who work in partnership with our students
